About

My name is Jonathon Kardashinski, and I am an Architectural/Engineering Technologist & Professional Photographer operating out of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

I am currently working as an Architectural Technologist with Republic Architecture, where I am responsible for producing and reviewing construction drawings in Revit, identifying and resolving building technology issues, building client relationships, and fostering coordination throughout the entire design team.

In 2021 I completed my final Co-op with Manitoba Infrastructure, where I served as a Survey Assistant throughout the Central and Interlake Regions. As a Survey Assistant, I had the opportunity to learn many valuable skills and gain real world experience in the construction field. I also had the opportunity to work with others, and was able to further develop my knowledge by learning from Project Manager’s, Engineers, and Certified Engineering Technologist’s in the field. In 2020, I completed my first Co-op with Manitoba Infrastructure, where I served as a Project Assistant throughout Region 2, working as a Bookkeeper, Quantity Inspector, Junior Density Inspector, Aggregate Inspector, Survey Assistant, Scale Person, and Flag Person, while also providing field training to summer students.

Prior to my Co-op work experience, I was a store manager and district team leader with OSL Retail Services, and have been working as a freelance photographer and designer for the past 5 years. Working as a Store Manager and District Team Leader for OSL Retail Services helped me foster my skills in executing detailed plans, working in stressful situations, operational management, time management, and leadership. Working as a freelance photographer and designer has helped me foster my skills photography, 3D modeling, coding, and communication.

I also have extensive experience working with & presenting through Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and Project, gained through both the course work at Red River College Polytechnic and through working in different industries. I hold an unrestricted Class 5 license with my own well-maintained vehicle and have a clean driving record. I have received training from Red River College Polytechnic in the use of Levels & Total Stations, through completing level circuits & perimeter surveys. I have also received training in the use of AutoCAD & Revit, through designing residential and commercial structures that adhere to the National Building Code of Canada. Further, I have received training with technical writing through developing formal & informal reports, and CCDC contract documents throughout my studies.
